YMCA gymnasts strong in Red, White and You (The Moultrie Observer)
MOULTRIE — The Red, White and You gymnastics meet was held last weekend in the Donald A. Blevins Gymnastics Center and all of the Moultrie YMCA teams broke their team scores and all placed first.“It was an excellent meet with consistent scoring,” said Coach Pat Murphy. “It was a great way to end the season with everyone on a high.”

Mr. Tony Lynn Stroud, 50, of Blevins, formerly of Hope, died Saturday, May 10, at his home. He was born on Oct. 29, 1957, in Hope to Chester Lester “Vic” and G. Jean Brown Stroud. He was a self-employed painter. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church of Hope.

Mr. Floyd Donald Leverett, 85, of Hope, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, in a Hot Springs Hospital. He was born October 8, 1922, in Blevins, to Clarence Leverett and Verna Lee Foster Leverett.
